US group, Land O’Lakes, launches feed additives business
The Minnesota-based company recently announced the launch of PMI Nutritional Additives, which it said will offer products designed to improve animal performance in nutrient utilization or gut health.
The business is set to work with “feed nutritionists, manufacturers, veterinarians and producers” who are trying to improve performance through their livestock feed, reported Land O'Lakes.
Several products have already been made available for market, addressing the swine, poultry, dairy and beef cattle industries. The development of additional treatments are in progress.
“Within the animal production industry, Land O’Lakes’ animal nutrition business delivers proven feed solutions backed by extensive research know-how both in-house, through our animal nutrition PhDs, and in the field,” said Dave Hoogmoed, chief operating officer for animal nutrition, in a release. “With our nutritional additives business, we’re extending our research capabilities, partnerships and distribution to meet the needs of a growing segment of customers.”
